Axle Galench Book Series

The adventures of Axle are a great way to enhance reading ability, especially when coupled with the audio book. Great for ages 6-12. Books are available in paper back and audio which has original songs and characterized voices.

Not since my 3rd grade teacher read us The Adventures of Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (dates me I know) have I been so entertained. Rooster Morris has hit a great balance between appeal to young children and subtle humor that keeps teens on their toes to catch it all. The main character Axle, inspires integrity, honesty and fundamental truths of good triumphing over evil. Rooster’s recordings are amazing as he depicts each cleverly named character with different voices. From my professional stand point, the recordings will accelerate reading abilities as children follow along in the book while Rooster skillfully dramatizes the written word.

Now what was the color to use to mark the card correctly? Oh my! There are lots of details to remember in DRC!

unique and effective spelling program for elementary students

Sequential Spelling

Sequential Spelling is a unique and effective spelling program for teaching the patterns of English Spelling. The sequences are not based on grade level curriculum; they are based on building from easy words to advanced words. For example: all, tall, stall, install, installment, installation. Our recommendation is to start with Level 1.

A traditional spelling program gives the child a list of words to study, which many children promptly forget after the test at the end of the week. With Sequential Spelling, the child is not required to study anything, and yet, they remember the patterns used to spell the words – even after the test!

Nothing in all creation can compare to the amazing capacity for adaptability of the human brain.
